How House of Dance Works
One universe. Multiple worlds. More than one way through it. House of Dance gives you different ways to enter the work, depending on what you want to learn and how you want to learn it.
COURSES: Structured learning paths that take you through material in a deliberate sequence.
STANDALONE RELEASES: A choreography, collaboration, movement study, special lesson, or creative project you can purchase on its own.
CLASSES: Full learning experiences, from workshops and recorded classes to future live offerings when available.
MEMBERSHIP: The full interconnected House: courses, the growing Library, Movement Worlds, and Franklin’s ongoing work. One universe. Multiple worlds. More than one way through it.
House of Dance combines guided courses with a larger, interconnected movement library available to House of Dance members. Take a course when you want a clear path. Join the House when you want to move freely between courses, skills, movement traditions, levels of complexity, and Franklin’s ongoing work. Underneath both is the same idea:
Movement can be broken apart, understood, practiced, and built back into something new. Because….
Freedom needs a foundation. The step changes. The principles do not. Franklin carries the same underlying movement intelligence across every world he enters. House of Dance organizes that work around five connected principles:
-
The body has to become available.
Before choreography, before styling, before performance, the body has to be able to move. Access is not just a feeling. It is physical. It includes mobility, coordination, strength, balance, range of motion, body awareness, and the ability to support movement without bracing against it.
It is the difference between reaching with the arm while the torso pulls away… and moving from a body that can actually travel into space. House of Dance begins by paying attention to the physical conditions that make dancing possible:
breath and rib-cage mobility
spinal articulation
pelvic organization and mobility
hip, knee, ankle, and foot function
strength through range of motion
fascial elasticity and recoil
proprioception and body awareness
grounding without rigidity
A dancer may understand the idea intellectually and still not have access to it physically. That is not failure. It is information. Franklin’s method recognizes that the body often needs time, repetition, and the right kind of training to expand its capacity. Not just to do more. To move more freely.

How Movement Builds
Start small, Build big. Break it back down.
GROOVE → MOVE → VARIATION → COMBO SET → CHALLENGE / MINI-CHOREO → EXPERIMENTAL / EXPRESSION
House of Dance breaks movement into Content Layers so you can see how something simple becomes something complex.
See something you can’t access yet? Work backward.
A Full Franklin piece might lead you to a Combo Set. The combo may contain a Variation. The variation may come from a simpler Move. And underneath the move may be the Groove your body hasn’t found yet. Or start with one Groove and see how far it can go.
Sometimes you don’t need to try harder. You need to climb a little lower.
Two Ways to Learn
Follow a path. Or open the whole House.
#1 TAKE A COURSE
A standalone course gives you a focused, guided progression through one part of the work. The sequence is already built for you.
Start here, practice this.
Add the next piece. Return when you need to.
Fundamentals, for example, begins with grooves and simpler movement ideas that help make more complex work accessible later. You do not need a a comprehensive membership to take standalone courses.
#2 JOIN HOUSE OF DANCE
Membership opens the larger interconnected universe. Members receive access to the full course catalog and the growing House of Dance Library, where lessons can be explored across different skills, movement traditions, levels, and degrees of complexity.
Course access gives you sequence. A video inside a course may also exist in the larger Library. If you purchased the course on its own, you experience that lesson inside the guided sequence you bought. If you’re a member, the same lesson can also connect outward, to related Movement Worlds, Focuses, Content Layers, levels, and other material.
The course tells you what comes next. The Library shows you where else it can lead.
INSIDE THE LIBRARY 📚
Find the movement you need. House of Dance memberscan search and filter the growing Library from several directions at once.
Movement World
What tradition is informing the movement?
Mambo / Salsa On2 · Pachanga · Cha-Cha · Son · Afro · Boogaloo / Funk · Flamenco · Jazz · Latin Jazz · Palladium Mambo · Modern / Contemporary · Theater
Focus
What are you working on?
Fundamentals · Musicality · Body Movement · Footwork · Shines · Partnerwork · Performance · Freestyle
Content Layer
How much movement are you working with?
Groove · Move · Variation · Combo Set · Challenge / Mini-Choreo · Full Franklin
Level
Where might this fit in your practice?
Beginner · Intermediate · Advanced
One video can belong to several categories at once. For example:
Mambo + Afro
Musicality + Body Movement
Groove + Variation
Beginner + Intermediate
So instead of digging through folders, you can narrow the Library to the combination you actually want.
The goal isn’t perfect classification. It’s better discovery.
Find what you need. See what connects to it. Go simpler. Go further.
THE SAME LESSON CAN LIVE IN TWO PLACES.
