THE METHOD

Freedom needs a foundation.

The step changes. The principles do not. Franklin carries the same underlying movement intelligence across every world he enters. House of Dance organizes that work around five connected principles.

MUSIC RUNS THROUGH EVERYTHING

01 - Access

The body has to become available.

Before choreography, before styling, before performance, the body has to be able to move. Access is not just a feeling. It is physical. It includes mobility, coordination, strength, balance, range of motion, body awareness, and the ability to support movement without bracing against it.

It is the difference between reaching with the arm while the torso pulls away… and moving from a body that can actually travel into space. House of Dance begins by paying attention to the physical conditions that make dancing possible:

  • breath and rib-cage mobility

  • spinal articulation

  • pelvic organization and mobility

  • hip, knee, ankle, and foot function

  • strength through range of motion

  • fascial elasticity and recoil

  • proprioception and body awareness

  • grounding without rigidity

A dancer may understand the idea intellectually and still not have access to it physically. That is not failure. It is information. Franklin’s method recognizes that the body often needs time, repetition, and the right kind of training to expand its capacity. Not just to do more. To move more freely.
